What is a BTEC in esports?
The BTEC in esports is a practical, 2 year work-related course that prepares you for a career in the esports industry. The course covers a range of topics, from game design and development to event management and marketing.

This programme includes a series of seminars and workshops on topics such as philosophy, literature, and critical thinking, helping students to develop the skills they need to succeed in higher education.
We run a full careers service and UCAS training sessions, providing students with support and guidance as they navigate the often-challenging process of applying for universities and jobs. What qualifications do I get by studying the BTEC?
The BTEC in esports is equivalent to 1 A level and gives you the same UCAS points. The qualification is recognized by universities, colleges, and employers across the UK and around the world.
What will I learn in the course?
The BTEC in esports covers a range of topics, from game design and development to event management and marketing. You will learn how to design, develop, and manage esports events and tournaments, as well as develop your skills in game design and development.
Fees
For the 2022/23 Academic Year, the cost for a two-year BTEC esports course and two A Levels of your choice at Minerva's Virtual Academy is £6950 per school year (3 terms) or £2650 per term. Please note that fees for joining during term time will be calculated based on your enrolment date.
