Minerva’s Virtual Academy is delighted to announce its latest partnership with one the most prestigious private football academies in Europe – The International Centre of European Football (ICEF).
As part of our partnership, a number of ICEF students between years 9 and 12 will this year join MVA to continue with the IGCSE and A Level educational curriculum whilst at the Academy.
Located in Evian, France, the Academy sits on a 6-acre site and sees international players from all over the world join on a year-long residential programme.
Leandro Cruz, ICEF’s Education Manager said about the partnership:
‘Some students at ICEF experienced certain challenges with our previous online school provider. The IGCSE and A Level curriculum is much more advanced than the American one and therefore certain students have found it slightly more difficult to adapt. When Minerva got in touch with us and showed us the holistic nature of their programme, we knew that our students would benefit. Students will have live lessons, a 1-to-1 mentor and benefit from the community aspects to the programme. Minerva have been a great communicator with us throughout this process and we’re delighted to be partnering with them’.
Fabian Spiess, Elite Athlete Education Officer at Minerva’s Virtual Academy said:
‘It’s a great pleasure for us at MVA to be partnering with one of the most prestigious private football academies in Europe. As a former player myself, I know how difficult it is to become a professional player and whilst ICEF gives players a great base and platform, an all rounded quality education should never be sacrificed. Through this partnership students at ICEF have a quality educational environment in which they can thrive, be supported throughout as well as benefit from the holistic nature and extra curricular activities that we offer at the school.
We’re continuing to make great strides at Minerva’s Virtual Academy with this exciting partnership and others which are to be announced in the coming weeks.
